I love this kettle! It's sleek and modern look, yet old charm of a stove top tea kettle allows it to blend in with any kitchen! Modern, traditional, or old world!

The base is a heat conductor. When the kettle is placed on the plate the kettle heats up. It has a 7 cup capacity (1.7 litre). Perfect for filling your tea pot with! Stainless interior allows for quick and easy cleaning! So, you could brew in it if you liked.

The best thing of all, is that there are no cords attached to the kettle! Which means you heat the water (takes about 90-120 seconds to heat a full pot) and then lift the kettle and move it anywhere to use! Love it! Take it to the table, another counter, pour water baths for your custards, make instant oatmeal, or simply a cup of hot water to put a tea bag in! Love, love, love it!

There is a red zone in the kettle that makes water boil faster if you are only heating 1-3 cups. And there is a removable filter (inside, just behind the pour spout) that catches sediment or scaling. You can remove this and clean it whenever you need to. But best of all, it means none of that gunk goes in your consumable water!

And you don't have to worry about the kettle boiling dry! There is a sensor that turns the kettle off once the water comes to a boil, or if it is empty! How cool is that?

Love the black color! It goes with anything! (However, a pretty red would please me as well, and it comes in black, white, or red!)
