Matcha Green Tea

Matcha Green Tea
by Lipton Tea

This is a wonderfully tasting green tea. Lipton, well known for the excellence in their teas, has surpassed their own greatness with this choice of blend. This blend contains pure matcha.

From Health.com we read the following regarding Matcha:
"Because matcha is made from high-quality tea, and the whole leaves are ingested, it’s a more potent source of nutrients than steeped green tea. In addition to providing small amounts of vitamins and minerals, matcha is rich in antioxidants called polyphenols, which have been tied to protection against heart disease and cancer, as well as better blood sugar regulation, blood pressure reduction, and anti-aging. Another polyphenol in matcha called EGCG has been shown in research to boost metabolism, and slow or halt the growth of cancer cells."

Plus it's been shown to boost your mental alertness due to the caffeine it contains.

Each large tea bag makes one mug of tea. Just steep the bag as you would normally do for tea. Sweeten with honey or sugar if you like. Or drink it plain, however, I found that to be a little harsh, and so I did sweeten it a bit.

Sold in boxes of 15 bags, the tea can be purchased from Amazon.com here. It comes in 3 flavors, ginger, mint, and original. And don't let the price throw you off. It's $13.96, but that's for 4 boxes of tea bags with 15 bags in each box. Enough for 30 days if you drink it twice daily, or 2 months if you only drink it once daily.

I give this tea five stars.

A big thumbs up.

And I highly recommend it.
